Redress Laboratory is a regenerative design and research studio pioneering bio-based materials and circular fashion systems.
Founded by designer, researcher, and compliance strategist Auda Sakho, Redress Laboratory operates at the intersection of material science, sustainability, and community empowerment. We research and develop innovative spirulina-based textiles, cellulose composites, and regenerative alternatives to synthetic fabrics—transforming waste streams into biomaterials that support both human and planetary health.
As a studio, we are as much a place of experimentation as we are of education. Through community-driven workshops, educational programmes, and participatory events, Redress Laboratory engages makers, students, and local communities in the process of co-creating sustainable futures. We believe in reconnecting people to materials, promoting circular practices, and working with nature—not against it.
With a dual focus on research and hands-on practice, we prototype new materials, explore their applications across fashion and architecture, and advise brands on ethical production models. Auda is also the co-founder of Grassroots Arts Studios CIC, a community interest company supporting underrepresented creatives through training, mentorship, and industry access.
Redress Laboratory is based in London—led by research, grounded in community, and committed to regeneration.
